Dedication of our Green Legacy Hiroshima Peace Tree on May 22 at 3:00 pm

Medford Congregational United Church of Christ

Warmly invites YOU to the Dedication of our

Green Legacy Hiroshima Peace Tree

Sunday, May 22

3 p.m.

1801 E. Jackson St., Medford, OR

We'll meet in the Sanctuary Narthex then move outside to bless our tree

Please join us as we dedicate our special persimmon tree - grown from the seed of a legacy tree that survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima 76 years ago. Lovingly gathered by volunteers in Japan, these precious seeds have been shared around the world, to serve as living ambassadors of peace, hope and resilience.

Come hear the story of our tree's journey, meet Hideko Tamura Snider, who survived the Hiroshima bombing as a child, and will read her children's book "When a Peace Tree Blooms".

Children will be invited to help bless the tree with nourishing water and origami peace cranes

Masks requested - to protect our vulnerable children and elders.
